# Running Facebook Ads from Successfully Imported Datasets

After you have successfully imported data from theAlita, Facebook's system will recognize this dataset as a **Conversion Event** from a **pixel** within your Dataset.

**1. Access Facebook Ads Manager**

* Go to **Facebook Ads Manager** at: <https://business.facebook.com/adsmanager>
* Select the correct **Ad Account** connected to the Dataset (within your BM).

2\. **Create Custom Audience**

* Go to the **Audiences** section at: <https://business.facebook.com/adsmanager/audiences>
* Select **"Create Audience" → "Custom Audience."**

3\. **Select Data Source**

* From the list of data sources, select:

> **Website activity** (if the dataset is imported as a pixel event)

* Then select the **Pixel corresponding to the Dataset,** which might be named: **theAlita/theAlita/AudienceName**

4\. **Configure Custom Audience**

* In the **event** section, select the correct event name you imported (e.g., `theAlita/YourDatasetName`).
* Set the **time period** as needed (usually 30 or 90 days).
* Name the audience for easy management (suggestion: "Audience - \[Campaign Name] - \[Date]").

**5. Create Ads with the Newly Created Audience**

* While creating an ad campaign:
 * At the **Ad Set** level, in the "Audience" section, select the **Custom Audience** you just created.
 * You can combine it with a **Lookalike Audience** if you want to expand the audience.
 * Continue setting up the ad as usual and launch the campaign.

🔁 **A Few Notes**

* If you don't see the Event from theAlita, wait 15–30 minutes after the import status shows as "Imported."
* The Dataset needs to have a sufficient number of valid users for Facebook to create an audience (\~100 people or more).
* If you need to test, create audiences with different time ranges to evaluate effectiveness.
